About CalcFinance
Our Mission
CalcFinance is an independent financial calculator platform built specifically for Canadians and Quebecers. Our mission is simple: make personal financial planning accessible to everyone, free, with no sign-up and no intrusive ads. We believe that understanding the real cost of a mortgage, the growth potential of your RRSP, or the structure of your budget should not require a financial advisor or a paid subscription.
Our Approach
All our calculators are built on official Canadian financial rules. Our mortgage calculator applies the semi-annual interest compounding required by the Interest Act. Our provincial tax rates for the auto loan calculator are kept up to date with current rates (GST, QST, HST). The RRSP contribution limits we use match those published by the Canada Revenue Agency. We cite our sources and clearly indicate when data should be verified with official agencies.
